Biography
David Adams was a co-founder of Pioneering e-commerce startup ICentral, the creators of ShopSite software. ShopSite was one of the first commercial applications to run on the Linux platform and was very popular with ISPs and small businesses.

In 1996, David founded Aardvark Cycles, an online vendor of high end mountain bike components and accessories.

In 1997 David launched OSNews, which gave coverage to open source operating systems like Linux, FreeBSD, and Mac OS X (then called Rhapsody) long before they were discovered by the mainstream media and business world.

In 1998, after selling ICentral and Aardvark Cycles, David founded Akopia, and launched the Interchange open source e-commerce platform. In early 2001, Akopia was acquired by Red Hat.

David served as the head of engineering for Red Hat's e-business group until mid 2002.

He's currently taking care of the myriad back-end business tasks for OSNews, and has been building a house.
