Opera Software Opera CEO John S. Von Tetzchner wants to put web apps - in the form of widgets - on mobile phones, TVs, game consoles and your car stereo. APC Magazine spoke to him about the open standards involved and whether he was going to attempt to swim from Norway to Australia.

I'm surprised. This could be what Netscape intended to do with their desktop browser, only on mobile phones.

Which is pretty darn big.

I'm trying to understand the "Plans" portion of the title... The Opera Platform is available now on Symbian Series 60 phones and has been out for a while. What I would like to see is Opera supporting the Palm based Treo line of smartphones.
